As a creative Calgary children's photographer, f8 photography Inc.'s portrait sessions include: maternity (pregnancy), infants, newborns, babies, toddlers, children, kids, teens, high school seniors, mother and child portraits, father and child portraits, generation portraits, families and individuals.
Eco-friendly and environmentally conscious photography
For f8 photography, being green isn't just about reducing, recycling and re-using – it's a mindset and a lifestyle. In business, just as in our daily lives, we make environmentally-conscious decisions and practice helping the earth. We choose local suppliers, we recycle and reuse. We walk or bike to most meetings and, whenever time, distance (and the weather) permit, to our shoot locations. In terms of eco-friendliness, digital photography has obvious advantages over the traditional approach: less packaging, no used film cans in the trash, no toxic chemicals, and minimal consumption of water and electricity. Rechargeable batteries and built-in flashes are another plus. For 90% of the photographic products we offer (albums, prints, canvases, etc.) we use local, Calgary or Edmonton, suppliers and always re-use or recycle the packaging. The computer and the internet make a huge difference by reducing the need for mountains of printed matter (client information, forms, images and web galleries for client approval, etc.). And using in-person projection to show proofs to clients cuts out all those contact sheets and paper prints. When we do produce printed material we chose 100% or FSC recycled paper from our local printer and run small batches producing only what we need.
In our daily operations, we constantly strive to live a life that reduces our daily impact and to live in-line with our mission statement, making all our business decisions with green practices in mind.

Welcome to the Fall...and Halloween cuteness.
As we are getting into the colder months over here at f8 photography we're hard at work thinking of cool promotions that our clients can't resist.
For Halloween we're putting on a Kids in Costume shoot & doing it for FREE as a fundraiser for a great cause, The Children's Cottage Society.
It seems that we are so blessed with our warm houses & full cupboards & much loved children but it is not like that for all kids in Calgary. The Children's Cottage Society helps out families who are in crisis & they need donations.
